For Task 1:
Please read one article from Science News for Kids. You may choose any topic and any article from the site.  Make sure to read something you enjoy!  Then write one paragraph explaining what you think is the most important or interesting thing in the article.  Be sure to include evidence from the article to support your opinion.


For Task 2:
Pick a place in the world to read about from National Geographic Places.  This could be somewhere you would like to visit, you are interested in, or somewhere that just looks cool.  Write a letter to a friend convincing them why they should visit this location; be sure to include information about the place to convince them.  And don't forget to send Ms. Valdez an e-card from the place that you have chosen!



For Task 3:
Pick a person you are interested in reading about from any group of people on Kids Biographies.  Write a paragraph describing why you think this person is important in history. Be sure to include examples from their life that support your opinion.
