Compare & Contrast Folktales
Playlist Title
In this playlist, you will read two tall tales and complete a Venn diagram to note the similarities and differences between the two.
1. Fun Folk Tales:
- On the left, underneath “Famous Characters,” choose “Paul Bunyan.”
- Read three stories about Paul Bunyan, including the story of his birth.
- Next, choose “Pecos Bill” underneath “Famous Characters” and read three stories about him, including the story of his birth.
- On the first page, type the title for your diagram (Tall Tales) and your name.
- Label circle #1 (Paul Bunyan), and label circle #2 (Pecos Bill).
- Click NEXT. Then click on DEMO to watch a step-by-step tutorial of how to use this application. Then follow the demonstrated procedures to add at least 2 similarities and 2 differences to the Venn diagram.
- Finally, click FINISH.
- Click “Start” and read each tale, answering questions and going back to the story to help find the answer when needed.
